What might an Equine session look like?

Equine sessions take place at my field and are designed to be a safe, supportive and engaging experience alongside horses. All sessions are ground-based with no riding involved, so the focus stays on connection, communication, confidence and personal development.

Every session is tailored to the individual’s needs, interests and goals. Time with the horses may involve quiet observation and mindful activities, practical exercises or more active challenges, depending on what feels right for the person.

Sessions may include:

  • Meeting and observing the horse, grooming and mindfulness
  • Leading exercises, groundwork and teamwork activities
  • Problem-solving tasks and confidence-building challenges
  • Time in nature, reflection and goal setting

Working with horses in a calm outdoor setting can help people develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, communication and confidence. By learning to observe, communicate and respond to the horse, individuals explore these skills in a practical, meaningful way and celebrate their progress.
